Current Positions:

Vice President of Business Development

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Prospect, sell and manage the interactions with pharmaceutical / health care clients, consumer and consumer packaged goods clients
  • Work with client service team and analytics team to ensure that proposals and reports satisfy client objectives
  • Present services to prospects and @ industry meetings
  • Meet national and international clients and be able to communicate solutions to media, advertising and research needs
  • Create/write proposals based on leading edge communications research methodologies
  • Provide guidance, leadership and create deep and insightful understanding of selling consultative market research solutions to pharmaceutical / health care clients, as well as consumer companies

Background / previous employment experience:

  • Five or more years of experience in market research (MUST have pharmaceutical / health care background)
  • Experience in working with clients, specifically identifying and understanding their needs, exceeding their expectations and presenting study results.

Education/Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree and MBA preferred. (Years of market research experience may potentially outweigh need for degree in certain cases.)

Vice President, Director of Marketing Science

The Vice President, Director of Marketing Science will have broad responsibilities that touch on all aspects of quantitative engagements. This person will be charged with continually refining and expanding the company's quantitative skill-set to ensure that all quantitative engagements use best in class analytic methods. They will ensure successful execution of all models and statistical analyses. This person will have responsibility for communicating the firm's quantitative expertise to the marketplace through presentations, and publication in relevant marketing and research journals.

The position will oversee the expansion of the Marketing Science Group over time. While initially this person will be expected to personally conduct quantitative analyses and models, over time will spend less time in executing quantitative analyses and more time recruiting, training, and managing multiple members of the Marketing Science Group.

Applicants should have at a minimum:

  • An advanced degree in a relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 7 years in conducting quantitative analyses in a business or consulting setting
  • Specific expertise in advanced methodologies is required, including trade-off analytics (e.g., discrete choice/conjoint), segmentation techniques and tracking approaches
  • Broad familiarity with a variety of quantitative methods used in market research (e.g., Structural Equation Modeling, maximum differential scaling, Bayesian approaches, TURF, factor analysis, regression, etc)
  • Experience working within a small team environment in a support capacity, but also experience in directly managing personnel
  • Strong communication skills

Senior Marketing Research Manager

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support for primary research studies, mostly quantitative studies
  • Supervise, mentor and train junior analysts

Background / previous employment experience:

  • Five or more years of experience working with a market research team on a vendor side and primarily capable of identifying client needs, designing a research approach, and developing the questionnaire. Experience on client slide is a plus.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and interpret research results, summarize findings in a report to include making recommendations for business decisions.
  • Proficient in SPSS (required) and WinCross, (preferred)
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel, (required)
  • Familiar with the health care industry, especially pharmaceuticals
  • Experience in working with clients, specifically identifying and understanding their needs, exceeding their expectations and presenting study results.

Entry-level Market Research Analyst

HCD's Analytic Department is in search of a dedicated, reliable and detail-oriented, entry-level Market Research Analyst who enjoys working in a fast-paced and small team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the production of quantitative market research reports for various pharmaceutical and health care clients.

Qualifications and requirements: Up to 1 year work experience, including internships. Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Sociology or Psychology or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required. Must have basic knowledge of research methods and statistical concepts. Intermediate level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required. Knowledge of SPSS desired but not required.
